The Winooski Welcome Center & Gallery is a multi-faceted, community-driven space located on the northeast corner of the circle in downtown Winooski. When fully realized, the space will include a shop; a visitor center; a contemporary art gallery; and meeting and office space for micro entrepreneurs. The Center is also the home of Discover Winooski and the Winooski Pop-up Gallery District.
We are looking for volunteers of varying interests and skills. We are seeking people who just want to lend a hand now and then and people who want to plan an active role in our work to promote Winooski and make Winooski an art destination.

Have you ever wanted to work in an art gallery?
Now through August 4th, Vermont artists are turning downtown Winooski into an instant gallery district by taking over vacant retail spaces and turning them into contemporary art galleries.
The Winooski Pop-up Gallery District transforms downtown Winooski into a vibrant hub of contemporary art for seven weeks. The event includes art exhibitions; music and other cultural events; activities for children; and showcases the community of Winooski–its shops, restaurants, and history. The event kicks-off with a grand opening the weekend of June 22nd and continues through August 4th. The event is an opportunity to enjoy some of the finest contemporary art Vermont has to offer in a relaxed and festive atmosphere. The galleries will be open Thursday through Saturday from Noon to 8PM and Sundays from 10AM to 4PM. The Winooski Pop-up Gallery District is produced by Kasini House and the Winooski Welcome Center.
Organizers are seeking volunteers who would like to staff the galleries, help with the set-up of the galleries, or help with special events.
Gallery staffing is organized in four-hour shift during open hours. Volunteers will greet people, watch the gallery, and answer questions or direct the public to someone who can provide an answer. Our goal is to make volunteering at the Pop-up Gallery District and fun and engaging experience.
