The Winooski Pop-up Gallery District transforms downtown Winooski into a vibrant hub of contemporary art for six weeks in June and July. The event includes art exhibitions; music and other cultural events; activities for children; and showcases the community of Winooski–its shops, restaurants, and history.

The 2011 edition of the Winooski Pop-Up Gallery District was a successful event that ran from late June through July and led thousands of people to discover Downtown Winooski while presenting the work of approximately fifty Vermont artists. The 2011 Winooski Pop-Up Gallery District was underwritten by Opportunities Credit Union with additional sponsorship from the New England Federal Credit Union. HallKeen donated the vacant space and Art Map Burlington served as media sponsor. In November & December 2011, a Holiday Pop-up Art Market brought hundreds of people to downtown Winooski and resulted in the sale of $14,000 of local art and products.

This year’s Pop-Up District promises to be even bigger and better. The 2012 event will kick-off with a grand opening the weekend of June 22nd and continue through August 4th.

Come and enjoy some of the finest contemporary art Vermont has to offer in a relaxed and festive atmosphere. The galleries will be open Thursday through Saturday from Noon to 6PM and Sundays from 10AM to 4PM.
